I have had a good past couple of weeks. Taking life and all it throws at me as each new day begins. School is almost over for me and I'm glad, but a little sad. I am going to be taking General Biology in the summer-drat! It will only be 3 days a week, but pretty much allll day lol. I am excited to see what the new Institute Director will be like, though. I encourage all to go for the first couple of weeks. =) And don't lose contact with Brother Mecham!
I love, love, LOVE being a teacher in Relief Society. I have learned so much since being a teacher. I love hearing the sisters' comments, stories, and thoughts. I have grown close to some of them and have gained new friends. I remember the first time I taught-first time ever! I had just become a member of the ward and the next week I was teaching! Lol crazy, I know! But anyway, I was soooo nervous! "Is my lesson gonna last the whole time? Are people going to comment? Am I going to be heard or will I be too quiet?" Oh my word. It went amazing. I could feel the spirit and I KNOW that those sisters helped bring it. I have now been teaching since October, so that's 5 months, because I didn't teach in January. It has been wonderful. I love it. I still get a little nervous, mostly because I'm worried that my lesson won't last the whole time. However, it always works out. Last month, April, I went a little over the time. Whoops! =) I hate to be. . . conceited, I guess. . . but my lessons are good. I feel that I'm a good teacher and that my message is getting across. The sisters are always commenting or asking questions or something and I love it! I try my best to let them talk more than listen to me! Hahah. I am always SUPER excited to teach my week! =)
So, I love Michael Buble. He is my absolute favorite singer. I love all his songs and he's an AMAZING performer! I bought a little sweater online and I'm waiting for it in the mail. It's super cute =). I want to learn to play the piano and I also have been wanting to buy one of the songbooks for my friend Melannie to play for me. But, I just got the idea today that I could learn to play with his books! That'd be awesome, wouldn't it? Melannie taught herself and she said you just sit down and teach yourself. Lol, easier said than done! I'm determined. . . therefore, I believe I will succeed.
Well, that's a good update for me =). Thanks, Danae and Stephanie for being followers! Motivates me to blog more often! =).
